  • Came here after having brunch with my friend. She suggested to come here since we both haven't been able to come because of their weird soft opening hours the first few days (ok it wasn't weird but it so happened to be exactly the times we worked, or fairly close) Located next to the widely popular KBBQ joint, Hobak, the exterior of this makes it look like an old factory of a sort, with a huge wooden door. "Faded" square windows face the parking lot making you wonder what it looks like inside. SURPRISE ! Not an old factory, but an open ceiling styling with visible central air vents and a greenhouse type of glass building in the middle for the "open kitchen" style. Seats and tables of various colors/sizes/shapes surround this area giving it a very different type of environment than what you'd expect from a typical cafe. To the rear of the cafe, there is a 3 level area where you can sit on pillows provided and a small table you can pull out for your food and drinks. Along the side of this is a small mini slide! To the back right corner is a 2-seater swing too ! Overall, a really chill and nice environment tho mildly noisy due to how many people there and how busy the kitchen is. It was really busy on a Sunday afternoon, filled with a lot of... Koreans! Hahaha ! from businessmen in suits to those looking like they just finished a round of golf. Lots of students look like they are studying as well. They were REALLY busy with almost consistent lines of 10+ people. The kitchen was super behind. I had ordered an Ice Blended Matcha Green Tea w/ Tiramisu whereas my friend had gotten a Yuzu Omija w/ Tiramisu. Since it was so busy, she had me stand in line first while she went to find a place to sit. Then we switched spots afterwards. My dumb butt forgot to tell her what i ordered and she ended up ordering a Tiramisu as well. Thought about it a minute too late. Doh ! They have a nice concept of giving you these little metal pots with a number on it. Looks cute but not too efficient. Because the pot is small and written numbers are so big, its hard to see its entirety unless at a perfect angle. Also, its quite low so also hard to spot if not placed well. Not sure if it was just super busy or they don't have an efficient system down yet... It took a long time for me to receive my drink and her tiramisu. As said, they were behind but it was weird. Maybe a 10-15 minute gap between me placing my order and hers. She gets her drink first but i get my tiramisu like 5 minutes later. Another 10 minutes later, i get my drink then another 5-10 minutes, she gets her tiramisu. What? I saw the lady who was running the "pass" like go backwards and review a lot of previous orders. The same lady ended up coming out herself and delivering orders too. Lots of kinks to work out and i hope they can get more efficient. I know its still early and it was super busy so i can't blame them too much. My friend's yuzu omija is a decaf tea w/ honey marinated citus w/ five flavored berry was pretty decent. Not too sweet w/ lots of yuzu "pulp" on the bottom. Too much ice though. I didn't know there was five flavored berry until i looked at the menu during this review for the name of the drink. Dont know what that is nor did i taste anything but yuzu. Nice chilled drink for a warm to hot day ! My ice blended matcha green tea was not what i expected. As the name suggested, its a matcha green tea blended with ice. Unfortunately, they don't blend it enough and is very icy still. The edges of the cup was lined with a drizzle of chocolate sauce which doesn't really add anything to the drink itself besides design unless you specifically poke at the sauce. The drink itself is topped with some more powdered matcha. Flavor is ok but probably wont get again. Wonder if you can ask them to blend it more? Coffee tiramisu is presented on a flowery china-type of plate w/ a chocolate half-shell. The "cake" aspect of it inside the shell was fairly dry and kind of bland. The top "cream" aspect thats piped on in a ribbon form was even more bland. Did want a nice strong coffee flavor in either the cream or the cake but neither did. Didn't really like this. Flavor was very light or just not strong. Hope their other stuff/drinks are better ! Maybe if temperatures allow, will try some hot drinks soon too! I have a feeling this place is owned by the same owners as Hobak. Saw some familiar faces but dont quote me on that. Would make sense though right? XD
