My sister and I were recommended to go here by two sisters who own an escape room in our hometown. A family member unexpectedly passed away so we drove to Charlotte with a friend to get our minds off of it and get out of bed.
Unfortunately this was the worst experience for which I'd ever paid $180. When I walked out of the room to complain that the room I'd booked before we drove up, now overrun with 6 men who were not at all interested in what we had to say, was in fact this awful because they had a front row seat to the embarrassment, ignorance, and degradation to which we were subjected. Instead of attempting to fix it, move us, or anything they told us the second room we already paid for wouldn't be overrun with a group of sexist men.
Not only was the experience terrible there was no way for everyone to comfortably fit in the rooms and solve the puzzles. Despite the tension in the first when we moved to our next room with just the 3 of us we spent most of the time in separate rooms due to space constraints. I'm not ignorant to profit margins but this is a business more interested in money than keeping customers who would want to come back.
