| - I've been to The Parlor on a few occasions and have never had a bad experience here.
We shared the roasted beet salad, polipo, 12" funghi, and had tiramisu for dessert. I don't eat beets often, but I'm a fan now after having tried the salad. It's really refreshing, and I highly recommend it. The polipo was suggested by our server as "the best octopus in the valley", so we went with it. We were disappointed; it had a nice spicy kick to it, but it was way too salty for our palates (you've been warned). I've had the funghi before, and it remains one of my favorites. If you like mushrooms, you'll love it (no skimpin' here). The tiramisu was pretty good, although we thought that it had a little too much cocoa powder going on on top, and that it needed an extra coffee-flavored oomph to it.
We ordered too much, but we were starving! Overall, a great meal paired with an awesome pitcher of Oak Creek Nut Brown Ale. Yummmmmmmmm.
It was a nice night to sit out in the patio. It tends to get kind of noisy inside, so if you want to actually converse, try to sit outside if you can. Also, parking is kind of tough unless you get there early (or park across street at the shopping center), but they do offer valet.
I'm still full!
