  • Visited on Saturday 8-20-16 at 5:30 pm. We were asked if we'd like individual hot pots or a communal one and we chose the communal pot. The process is easy...pick what type of broth you want, then order your raw items to throw in it, and you can pick up more items from the conveyor belt if you're sitting close to it. For $75.28 we got a yin-yang pot of broth, a small order of enoki mushrooms, grilled shrimp, grilled chicken gizzards, fresh thick noodles, napa cabbage, hand-cut angus beef, beef meatballs, steamed rice, pork dumplings, chicken breast slices, three soft drinks, scallops, sausage, salmon, and crab sticks. After ordering we were urged to check out the condiment bar in the middle of the restaurant. It's a circular table with pots of seasonings and sauces and everything was labeled but the writing had faded off of the labels so it was impossible to tell what was inside. After peeking inside all the containers I chose a spoonful of an unknown brown goo that turned out to be quite tasty. They were out of a few items we wanted to order like the wagyu fried rice, duck flippers, and the server didn't even know what the pumpkin cake was even though it's on their menu. They are still pretty new and trying to get the hang of things I guess. Grilled chicken gizzard skewers were tasty! They were a little spicy but tender and yummy. The "grilled shrimp skewer" from their menu was just 6 grilled shrimp on a plate. No skewer LOL weird! Items coming down the conveyor belt are not labeled and I couldn't really tell what all of them were. There were a few items that looked like they were fried balls or dumplings but the case is refrigerated so that didn't really make sense. We chose half house broth and half tomato broth. I didn't really like either one...neither was salty enough and they were both very...herbal?? Like a pho broth but thicker and pungent. All of the items we ordered appeared fresh but none were presented in cool containers like I see in other pictures on yelp and their website. I think you have to order one of their more expensive "combos" to get the neat presentations with the dry ice and dish gardens. This place is definitely worth the trip and I really enjoyed my first hot pot experience here. The decor is awesome as well and I love love love their light fixtures and modern tables.
