rev:text	I come to Madison on business periodically and I have enjoyed staying at this location in the past but my recent stays have been less than enjoyable. My wife works in the industry and noticed the lack of service with the current manager, Martez. (We are not ones to complain but we felt we had to say something this time.) He was not friendly, did not extend the "extra mile" for returning guests (not that he is obligated to but a warming welcome would be pleasant) nor did he connect with his team associates. He seems "cold" and makes one not want to even "chat" with him. He is like a know-it-all given the number of years he has been in the industry (which he pointed out during a conversation) but that does not work when it is quantity over quality for I prefer the quality. My recent stay involved extra rooms for I brought my family along. They also noticed the distant feeling and again, Martez checked us in. My family preferred to not stay but we already had plans and it was too late to book another hotel. Now, the associates that work there are wonderful and very obliging and friendly. The manager is the one that needs to go back to training or go into a field that is more fitting for him. Alora, the young lady at the front was extremely friendly and helpful. She was great. I forgot the other front desk people's names but they were on the same page as Alora. The previous management team were friendlier, more professional and more cohesive. They made me feel like a "guest" all the time and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. I will have to reconsider staying at this location on my next business trip but it is the convenience that brings me back to this hotel. Rooms: spacious, great with family especially with the refrigeration, microwave, stove (not that we used it), free laundry, wi-fi was sketchy so could not use it at all, parking was good provided there is no special event, grocery store near by, food locations with easy accesss, quiet neighborhood for walking and biking.
