| - I hate giving Pedro's 2.5 stars since it has always been my favorite restaurant growing up. But after visiting for a recent badger game, I found myself pretty underwhelmed while the margs are cheap & our waiter was great, I gotta give the food a harsh 2.5(?) stars. Maybe I just didn't order the right thing (I used to get the veggie fajitas all the time so perhaps I should've stuck with em), but still I ordered a taco salad and it was kinda tiny for being $9. It only seemed like it had a few bites of lettuce to it, some beans, and some cheese on top. I think I ate it in 2 minutes flat (this may be due to the fact that I am a food inhaler, but still). My mom also got the "game day special" chicken quesadilla for $3-4, and was definitely not stoked when they brought her some pita-like bread (that definitely looked like it had been defrosted that morning) filled with some wimpy pieces of chicken and the saddest amount of cheese I've ever seen on a quesadilla. Yes, it's a $3 special, but a quesadilla needs some cheese ya know? ? ? So overall, it just wasn't what we were expecting from the restaurant we grew up loving. That being said, I hope our next visit is a lil more similar to the Pedro's I adored in 7th grade (bring back the old queso please). But if you do happen to be looking for some Americanized Mexican food that is cheap and usually tastes alright, I'd probably give this place a shot. Maybe just don't order the game day specials or the taco salads.
