Bars that stick to the standard template, but have enough variety and sensible gimmicks to warrant coming back have a certain appeal for me. Paully's is one such place. It's a standard pub in many respects, but they have a lot of interesting extras.
They have wireless internet access, and theme nights like Trivia Night (Wed) and Darts night (Tues). There's a good range of beers on tap, and all the seating (other than at the bar, of course) consists of comfy, high-back chairs. Incidentally, they do a mean Chicken Club Sandwich here, with not too much mayo (for those who prefer not to have it squeezing out the sides), fat chicken breasts, and good cheese.
