  • Something in me thought Discovery Hut was a chain. Perhaps it's the fact that it's in Chinook Centre. At any rate, it isn't. It's not exactly your small indie games style shop like you might find in other parts of town. But then again, I doubt very much a place like that would survive in Chinook. It's full of puzzles and games, all kinds of toys to keep children of all ages (even you!) occupied for a long time. My favourite part of the store is the wall of tin lunch boxes. One of these days I'm going to come home with one. Today I stopped in to find some games suitable for passersby. The gentleman who helped me out had a variety of suggestions for me that were all within my price range from these cool little magnetic balls to nostalgic games I played as a kid. I ended up coming out of Discovery Hut with Pop Up Pirate and Hungry Hungry Hippos (they still make it-yay!)
