OG Chinese people never seem to get tired of eating Chinese food do they? And so this was my last 4 days ...
One night - battling fatigue, MSG overdose and jetlag, Fred and I decided to take a walk around where we were staying. We found this place and happily entered since 1) it wasn't a Chinese restaurant 2) they had drinks other than tea.
We ordered a bottle of the large aloe soju (aloe and yogurt being their most popular flavors) for about $20.00. A few minutes after our carafe was delivered, they brought us a plate of small munchies - salad, edamame, pickled veggies etc ... then a few minutes after that, a plate of sashimi landed at our table. We figured this might have been a mistake so we flagged down the waitress who happily told us that it came with the soju. WIN! Talk about blowing away expectations!!
I enjoyed my free food, my yummy soju and people watched the emo kids at the tables around us. We kept talking about this place to Toronto natives for the rest of the weekend and were disappointed that we didn't get a chance to visit again. Next time for sure.
