| - 9 am on Monday morning, it was the most earliest I had ever put my foot inside the Eaton Centre. What was I doing there so early, you ask?
To get a phone for my significant other. Not just any other phone, an iPhone 4. (Things you would do for your love one, eh?)
Taking a chance and hoping that a new shipment would come in on Monday morning. I walked toward the end of the line and couldn't help feeling like a loser (freaking last person in line). "25th person, not bad," I tried to be positive. Twenty five minutes passed, woo hoo, I was no longer the last person, someone else had taken that title. "Losers!" Just kidding. I would never say that out loud.
Two hours later, the Apple crews came out and told us that a shipment had came in. Bingo!
Initially, the Apple team was taking people one-by-one inside the store. Thirty minutes later, hooray, the manager stepped out from the store and had a little chat with the guy in charge of the queue. Quick thinking manager probably told his team, "hey, I have an idea ... why not take several people who want to buy unlocked phones or who are with same network (instead of one-by-one), to speed things up a little." Finally, someone with good common sense!
Twelve thirty pm, I walked out from the store with an iPhone 4. Mission accomplished.
Apple squad is a group highly trained people to represent the brand. Kudos to all of them for being very professional and helpful, even in stressful situation (especially when being asked the same question over, and over again by different people). The store manager worked side-by-side with his team and tried to get people out quickly with the new iPhone. That's good leadership!
Five stars for their superb dependable service.
