  • I hate giving a one star review but I think other customers need to know. I've come here many times before and the service was exceptional and friendly. The butterfly drink was always amazing. I went on vacation for a week and it said "grand opening"... I thought it was a sign that someone forgot to take down. Once we walked inside, I noticed a sign that says "$15 min credit card purchase" and new rolled ice cream menu on the window. My first thought was business must be good to be expanding into rolled ice cream.... but that was the start... The lady at the cash was not knowledgeable about the menu. The menu on the wall was the same as before. Though we ordered with the number of the drink, she didn't get it. We then ordered tapioca with the drinks. We both got the butterfly drinks. She nodded, told us how much it was and we paid. We tried using the stamp card to accumulate a free drink when she informed us the store was under new management.... and no new stamp card system is in place.... ah... the grand opening sign makes sense now. I got my drink which was the honey green butterfly drink. The lid of the drink was the typical one with a prepunched whole. I asked if I still needed to shake it and she said yes. I asked if the drink needed the sealed off lid like before but she said no. I was puzzled on how I was to shake the drink, previously I tipped the drink upside down and shook it like a bartender. Instead, she stuck a straw in for me and turned it a few times. Well... that didn't mix anything. All I tasted was honey because it was at the bottom of the drink were the straw was. Due to the temperature of the drink, it had hardened a little and I could see the honey stuck to the side of the cup and all the straw was doing was scraping it off the side and up the straw. Horrible... Then my bf got his drink and it didn't have tapioca in it... I then noticed I didn't either... we then told her and she thought we were speaking a different language. She then came around to the counter so we could point to the menu to tell her what we wanted. She then informed us it was an old menu so she didn't know.... she added tapioca to our drinks and we left... we also noticed half the drink (size L) was ice lol. So I paid for more ice than drink... As you probably have guessed.. we will no longer be going to this tea shop. It saddens me because it was one of the better ones we've been to. We often took detours to just get bbt there. ... on with the adventure of finding a new bbt spot.
