I chose this Co. based on their great reviews and being local. What a mistake. They have a sales rep to "take care of you", yet he has zero power over the actual move.. The movers came at the correct time. I showed them everything that needed to go and they got started. About 3/4 of the way into loading the truck, the foreman told me we had more stuff than anticipated and came up with a random # of $1k to give them in cash/money order. Wtf? Legally, https://www.fmcsa.dot.gov/consumer-protection/household-goods/protect-your-move, they needed to review our belongings and give us an estimate BEFORE loading the truck. But, I trusted them (dumb of me) that they made an accurate count. The movers also told us we couldn't bring several of our intially listed items because that was going to "cost too much to move"-per the Foreman. So those items stayed behind and we had to end up selling and/or giving away. That was horrible. I contacted? Sky about a week or so later to simply get an update and the sales rep told me my stuff was still in Vegas in some warehouse. Again wtf? They picked it up just to sit on it? I didn't want to ruffle too many feathers because THEY HAD OUR TREASURED BELONGS. When everything finally did arrive, the movers insisted I pay an amount that was not accurate (due to their illegal packing job). I went back and forth on the price with the Sky team for about 6 hours (there was a time difference so nobody could be reached after hours and when they did finally open, the movers had already been at my new home for 2 hours). The only person to fix this issue was out of the country. Once again wtf? Only one person holds all the power? What kind of business is this? All the while the movers couldn't do anything and I couldn't get my stuff. To top it all off, everything arrived barely within their window (one day away). They're only receiving 2 stars because the movers at my new home were professional, the lovely Admin. did her? best to help (she arranged to have additional items picked up before the truck left Vegas @ an additional cost of course) and our belongings made it in one piece (sorta).
