Brought my Pilot in for an oil change, and a particular repair that was under warranty. I was called not too long after drop-off with a request to do some "necessary" work-over $1500 worth! The servce technician seemed put off that I wouldn't just say yes and warned me that I was taking a big risk in my safety by not getting the work done. When I brought my vehicle to a family-owned place nearby, they told me that none of the problems reported by Honda were present.
Second problem--even though I refused and a dust storm was rolling in, they put the car through the car wash. They "washed away" our car magnets and were unable to find nor unwilling to replace them. They even tried to suggest that we never had them on our car to begin with. The technician and the supervisor were very unhelpful about this loss of our personal property.
Don't bother to use the dealersip for your service needs. NAPA Auto Care and SSC Auto Repair are far more honest and fair, not to mention affordable when similar services are compared.
