This restaurant has been on my list for a LONG while - couldn't wait to try and it did not disappoint - OUTSTANDING!!
My server Michael was incredibly knowledgeable about Japanese food and the process that MASA takes in creating their own soy and tofu here at the restaurant. His description of a few menu choices were just perfect changing my mind on what I thought I wanted and his suggestions were outstanding.
I started off with Warm House Sake and it just so light and beautiful. I had the pleasure to enjoy the following items;
Yuba Kurobuta (Pork belly) 4 Dumpling with the wrappers being their in-house make soy and they just melted in your mouth with the ponzu sauce just a delicate taste
Michaels suggestion was the sushi canape with Tuna and Caviar, scallop & shrimp, Kanpachi & truffle (my favotite) and salmon & white onion. You recive 2 of each and they are rather small and the texture of the fish is like tartare (all chipped fine like a mousse), not a fan of the texture but the flavors were on point.
I also had 1 grilled bluefin tuna sushi and 1 Ikura - VERY fresh and delicious
I must say everything was very delicious the service was impeccable but I will say that I did leave the restaurant a little hungry for the price.
