The absolute worst hospital experience ever! With the exception of a few outstanding nurses, and there were some, the rest were absolutely horrible to deal with ---- my husband was in for an emergency neck surgery but they kept having to delay it due to other health issues. The pain was excruciating but the nurses would constantly give him his pain meds late - sometimes 45 minutes late. Unacceptable when you are screaming in pain!!!! And, although his pain management doctors prescribed his pain meds they felt the amounts were too much and would fight me over it!!!! Who do they think they are???? The doctor knows my husband and knows what he needs and yet they want to challenge it? One night, after me speaking with the charge nurse because they were late again giving him his pain meds, he was yelling due to the pain and she had the nerve to call a male nurse who - honest to heaven - came in and threatened him telling him he wasn't going to ever get his meds if he didn't stop yelling!!! We called security and now there is an investigation going on. Pathetic excuse for a hospital !!!
On top of all this, the place is dirty. The floors had the same dirty spots on it day in and day out. In one room we noticed there was a red pill on the floor. Rather than say anything we decided to see how many days it would take them to actually pick it up. They never did despite the room being "cleaned" every day - finally we pointed it out to them. And the trash in the room would pile up until we had to call someone in to empty it. Never, ever will we return to this place!
