| - If you're going to check this place out, you've only got until May of 2018 to do so. If you're on your way to (or from) Vegas, I suggest you check it out.
Driving on the freeway, you'll see the seven stacks of painted rocks and wonder, "What the heck are those doing there?" Driving up to them, you might think, "Hmmmm. Interesting." Standing before them, you'll think, "Wow".
The Seven Magic Mountains are meant to be a creative expression of human presence in the desert. Considering how brightly colored the rocks are, stacked atop each other to tower over you, I'd say the artists intentions of conveying Las Vegas (human presence in the desert) comes through clearly.
This site is easily accessible and there is plenty of parking. Yes, it may come off as a bit annoying to see the many "Instagram Models" taking photos by them, but just walk around a bit and you'll find your own perfect shot with them. I found that many people walking around are more than willing to take your photo with the Mountains behind you, so you're not only stuck with selfie shots.
The coolest moment for me, was when my daughter decided to walk off and start finding big rocks to pile up like the Seven Magic Mountains she was amazed by. Inspired by what stood before her, she made three "Magic Mountains" of her own, and was very proud for doing so. It was so cool to see art, inspire a little girl to create some of her own. Definitely a cool place to stop on your way to or from Vegas.
