  • My FiancĂ©e and I went on Sunday afternoon during restaurant week around 1pm. This was a place we wanted to try for a while but the price always turned us off so this was a definite during Queen's Feast. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and drinks and explained everything very well. I was impressed with her enthusiasm and helpfulness. Throughout the meal she and the wait staff were very attentive to our needs. The Salad bar could have been a meal all on its own. It featured standard fare as well as antipasti and soup. The Creamy Vegetable Soup was insanely good. The initial portion of our meal included Cheese bread and croquettes, which were hushpuppy-esq . It also featured a turkey salad like side for dipping. All items were very unique and delicious. Then came the meat. I don't think I've had a better sirloin in my life. The flank steak and ribs were also exceptional. The chicken was somewhat dry and needed one of the many dipping sauces offered on the salad bar. The sausage and pork loin were fine but I did not have more than one serving of each. The Rodizio was served with Polenta, Mashed Potatoes and Fried Bananas for the table. The Mashed potatoes were creamy and delicious but the polenta texture and taste were like that of an old breadstick. And come on, you can't go wrong with fried bananas. The only glaring disappointment I had with Chima is that after about 20 minutes of nonstop Rodizio, it completely stopped. Nothing. People were looking around wondering what was going on. It was like this for a good period of time. Our waitress asked if we wanted anything else and we stated we did, and it was brought over within the minute. Everyone was very confused on what was happening. All in all this was a great experienced and we definitely got our money's worth. I am very excited to bring friends and family to Chima in the future for a unique dining experience in Charlotte.
