So I tried out Yoyo's offering to see how it measures up to Toronto Froyo standards (which is not much, considering the sheer size and diversity).
The store is located in a cute remodeled home on Bloor and the interior is much better looking than competitors as they lack the overly bright fluorescent lighting. They also outdo Menchies. This is one place I'd stay in to have my froyo. Service is very friendly though the staff tends to hide in the back room, but pop out as soon as you approach the cash/topping area.
They've got a loyalty card which they jokingly said was for 'street cred only' but turns out to be worth something like a free cup when you hit $55 worth of froyo.
I really liked their froyo for itself, and the rotating flavours were fun to try out. The best flavours are their orginal tart and green tea. The chocolate flavour tastes no different than ice cream.
Decent array of toppings and Kudos for their offerings of Mochi, pineapple, mango, blackberries, and reese's peanut butter pieces.
Things to change: Sample cups are not on the table and you have to request them. This is probably for the abusers of the sampling privilege http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X4bLSXEfJuw though a pain to the rest of us.
Also, I really feel there should be more fruit but demographics take precedence and the students nearby are probably more inclined to go for Cap'n Crunch and M&Ms for their munchies.
