  • Kim may do some good work but the reason for this poor review is that Kim displayed incredibly thoughtless, unprofessional behavior. I had asked her to alter a gown for me. She spent a good deal of her time fitting it accordingly and pinning things into place but once I saw how it looked I realized I wasn't sure if I liked the dress enough for the $80 price tag involved for the alterations. I told Kim this and she assured me whatever I wanted to do was fine. She told me she wouldn't start my dresses until at least 2 weeks because she was so swamped anyway. I told her that I would call her to tell her what I decided with the gown in question. Fast forward about a week or two later. I called Kim on a Friday and left a message asking her not to alter the black dress after all. I hear nothing. Monday she calls and tells me she didn't get my message and had already started altering the gown. I apologize for the miscommunication but express I just didn't want the work done. I have to pick up another dress she altered for me so go to pick up the finished dress and the gown. Finished dress looks fine. Still has chalk marks on it but whatever. Now that she has to give me my gown back, she tells me that she didn't REALLY start much work on (not what she said before), then she tells me "Here it is. I took all the pins out." I remember this because I thought - of course. That's only fair. She wouldn't want me taking her already pinned alteration work to another tailor. The issue at hand is that she did NOT remove the pins at all. There were an incredible number of pins remaining in the bodice of the dress which when my friend tried it on, scratched her down her back very deeply. I'm fairly certain that Kim left the pins in on purpose with vindictive motivations. I will not be returning and urge others to avoid someone who is willing to resort to such dishonest and cruel business practices.
