| - On Queen, between Brimz with their urban snapbacks and Wildhagen the family-owned in-house makers (a little out there for my taste), we have Goorin Bros. Goorin Bros is the prime place to find classic staples of all sorts, from fedoras and porkpies, to my personal favourite, flatcaps. As someone who has recently acquired his third Goorin cap, I feel I'm justified in saying that in spite of the steep price tags, you really get what you pay for. Some of these creations are crafted from premium/speciality materials such as Woolrich wool, Harris tweed, Japanese tweed just to mention a few, and foreign imports (US and Italian made).
The fit and feel might not be perfect at first sight, but in the hands of the fine people of Goorin's, may be expertly adjusted with the aid of specialized equipment. I had recently come in to exchange a cap that was given as a gift, but a size too small. The staff here processed the exchange without issue, explaining their guarantee behind the quality, as well as making sure I was happy with the way the hat felt on my head. My favourite at the moment is the Sammy, an American made Gatsby made of Woolrich tweed. While it'll be a bit before I feel the itch to further my collection, I'm certain the next addition will be from here.
