I absolutely HATE having needles stuck in me for any reason. Hate it. I get vasovagal response. Lying down really helps with that but I still hate having needles stuck in me.
But, sometimes you still have to have needles stuck in you .
But the pleasant young lady that drew my blood was an absolute champ! I didn't catch her name but I barely felt anything and I never felt her digging around with the needle to find the vein, as numerous other places have over the years.
My typical experience elsewhere is the phlebotomist digging around the inside of my elbow with the needle, and then giving up and digging around the inside of my other elbow... Only to start over with the original arm. (Admittedly, my veins are elusive, but still.)
I was in and out in within a very reasonable window relative to my appointment time.
As to others' negative reviews... I can't begrudge them their negative experience if it really was negative. But my experience, being someone that HATES needles, is that I'd come back here again if I needed more blood drawn (which, hopefully I won't for a long time).
