I've done a little grocery shopping here, but I generally try to avoid it because they are SO expensive compared to a place like Woodmans, or really any grocery store that isn't downtown, so they automatically get a few stars off for that. There are some high end or organic products here but it's mostly overpriced conventional stuff. It is a genius location, however, because although I do not live in this area, I recently returned to the university to take classes and this is where most of my classmates do their shopping. So I don't think they really care about pricing because lazy college students (and those without cars) frequent this place in droves and I'm sure they are making plenty of money.
What I have stopped in here for on a semi-regular basis is the hot/salad bar. It's decent. The hot bar is pretty salty but you can get a variety of seemingly home-cooked food and the salad bar has a nice selection of things to pick from. The price isn't too outrageous either, I usually can get a full lunch for about $5-6. A plus is that if you are in a hurry (which I pretty much always am when I stop here), you can get your food and check out pretty quickly. If I were to rate the hot/salad bar alone I would give it three stars. When I factor the overall grocery store in, however, I've got to bump it down to 2.
