Considering the age of the hotel, it was a decent place to sleep for a few days while in Vegas on business. We got REALLY good rates ($45/night)for Wed and Thurs, so we stayed here where the convention was being held.
The furniture in the rooms does look worn, and the old box TV does leave you longing for the wall hung flat screen most nice hotels have gone to using. However, the beds were comfortable and the sheets were clean. There was a window from the bedroom into the bathroom, but when you showered it fogged up, so no free shows. ha.
The secional couch was nice to curl up on to do some work. We happened to stay here when they did a fund raiser and allowed people to pay to rapel off the roof. They were rapelling right in front of OUR window! So, we kept the curtains closed most of the day.
There is a nice choice of restaurants, and they do have a GREAT seafood buffet. The free show in the casino has "floats" that hang from the ceiling with dancers who throw beads like in New Orleans during Mardi Gras.
If I had my choice of ANY other hotel, this one is not on the top of the list, but a nice experience when it comes to trying out what is in Vegas.
