| - I just want to start off by saying the hotel itself was nice and comfortable. We had no issues with our room or the area, but it is because of our bad experience why I'm giving this hotel 2 stars.
My wife and I were traveling from California and stayed here one night. About 4 hours into our drive back home, we realized we had forgotten our pillow and because of its sentimental value to us, we were desperate to find a way to recover it.
We called and spoke to Larry at the front desk for about an hour on and off because of how unhelpful he was being. My wife and I both talked to him and practically begged him to go check inside the room (which was literally about two doors down from the front desk) but he kept saying our pillow definitely wasn't there because nothing was reported by the maids. We explained how it was very sentimental and that perhaps it just blended in with the other pillows because it was the same color, but he wasn't the slightest bit concerned and just kept saying how he had customers in his lobby he had to check them in. We also tried to explain that we hadn't made any other stops after leaving the hotel, so there was no other place for the pillow to be be than the room, but we still just got a "Your pillow isn't here" from the employee.
After arguing with Larry and getting absolutely nowhere, we gave up and thought to try again the next morning because Larry said the maids would be there around 10.
Low and behold we call and it was there!!!! We spoke with Larry again and he said that all the pillows at the hotel looked the same to him so he wouldn't have known, understandable, BUT if he would have taken a moment to just fully hear us out and try to have been more helpful, this review would've ended a completely different way. He did apologize that he didn't do more, but it was just a frustrating experience and won't be back.
