| - I agree with the person who would rate this restaurant 3.5. The food is comparable to many Thai restaurants in Northern California but nearly twice the price for everything. I tried the seafood chow fun which is Chinese, not Thai, and it was very tasty although a bit on the oily side. There were scallops, calamari and shrimp which were huge, but had a very funny aftertaste like they had been soaked in something. That aftertaste turned me off so much I had to stop eating them. The yellow curry with chicken, potatoes, onions and peppers had a nice kick. We asked for medium heat and It was actually making us sweat. Nice that they didn't dumb it down for the Caucasians. The pineapple rice was nice too, with huge shrimp. There were a lot of raisins or maybe currents in nearly every bite which I didn't expect. The pineapple tasted fresh and the dish was very good with bits of BBQ pork added in for flavor. Rice was not included so an additional bowl of Jasmine rice for the curry was $3 - 4, which makes me upset.. Any curry that costs nearly $20 or more should include rice. Shame on them. The Thai Iced Tea was really good and freshly brewed (as opposed to package mix). Not a bad meal despite the nickel and dime pricing and the odd non-Thai dishes all over their menu. The service was very nice and the restaurant was a very creative design of thread, rope and other material that play with the light. It was dark but sophisticated and I liked the way it was laid out. If you're in the mood for Thai, or Asian in general, this isn't a bad option but perhaps not my favorite Asian food on the strip.
