| - I think if you're going to visit Vegas, you need to make the old time strip your stop. I visit Vegas quite often, however, I never want to go to Fremont, only because nobody ever wants to go with me. But, if you're like me, and you visit Vegas many times a year, the redundancy of the new casinos can get old. I'm passed the club age really, and I don't do much partying, so really, Vegas to me is just a 2 day trip to get a gambling, kid free weekend fix. Because, besides the casinos, what else does this city of dust have to offer? Not much really. Downtown Fremont can be fun though, drinks are less expensive, some gambling halls still have old time slot machines that still dispense quarters, and walking across the street to the next casino is not as life threatening as the new strip. Food may not be celebrity chef status, but old time Vegas pricing still applies down here, Prime rib dinner for $13,... any old timers dream!!!! I did have breakfast down here, it was pretty good. I also bought a foot + long alcoholic beverage under $18 that kept me well sedated for a good couple hours. Plan to spend at least $20 per drink at the new casinos, if sitting at the lounge. I probably would not stay anywhere down town, only because, I don't mind spending money on a classy casino, but, there is s cup of tea for everyone, and this one could be yours.!! Have fun!
