| - We sat at the bar and ordered burgers and drinks. The burgers were pretty good and fries were good too- but a little "potato-y" for my liking. They were served with a garlic lemon Rosemary aioli for dipping. I personally did not care for this, but my husband loved it. Later, we ordered the O.T.E mussels with a side of fries for dipping. Neither one of us were impressed with the mussels. We thought both the mussels and fries lacked salt. The kind of mussels we got were nothing fancy and we thought we could pretty much make the same thing at home. You do get a pretty good serving size though, and food was hot when it came out. Do not order the OTE muscles if you do not like black pepper. It is loaded with black peppercorns, garlic, and a buttery sauce. I figured the pepper was going to be black pepper flakes, not black peppercorns, so that is something to note when ordering. It also has a strong black pepper taste, and even my husband, who does enjoy the taste of pepper was even a little thrown off.
The service was just OK. There were a couple of times we had to get the waiter's attention for another beer and food seemed to take at least 20 to 25 minutes to come out, post ordering. They were not crowded at all the entire time we were there. If anything, the bar only became full around 430 for happy hour,, so I'm not sure what the wait was on the food. They did have a decent happy hour special: half off Belgian and craft beers from 430 to 630. Bathrooms were clean though, and so was the rest of the restaurant. Also, it was really cold inside. I had a long sleeve sweater on and was still freezing. I'm not sure if I would be in a rush to go back to this place, but I would go in a pinch.
