  • Having gotten food-poisoning from Jimmy John's on State St. and undercooked chicken from the Chipotle, I am very careful about where I'll eat near campus; I never worry about Roast! Their beer-list and menu are thoughtfully crafted and their atmosphere is warm and inviting with a touch of shabby-chic. They generally offer pub fare with an innovative twist that rarely disappoints. The disadvantages, however, are that around 10:00 on Thursday (perhaps Friday as well?) they try to turn themselves into a dance club, rendering all conversation impossible. Furthermore, they are a little pricey for the amount of food you get, thoughtfully prepared though it may be...
