I've been wanting to get my septum pierced for about six months now. I do a lot of research when it comes to things like this so my heart was set on this shop. I called about two hours before I went in and asked if anyone was available to pierce me. I was told yes and so I gave them a time frame of when I would arrive. I asked about pricing and they said it depends on the jewelry I choose. I show up to the shop and the only ring they have is a single 14g surgical ring. Okay, whatever. I was leaving on vacation that night and really wanted my nose done so I said okay. But then I was told that they were out of needles; they hadn't realized it and I would need to come back a few hours later. Your shop's name is THE PIERCING SHOP and you are out of needles? I fear the day I go to a TATTOO shop and they're out of ink. It makes NO sense.
They were somewhat helpful in trying to get someone else that could take me in but the guy - don't know his name - was rude. I ask the lady if there is anyone else she can recommend and the first thing she says is 'definitely not the shop across the street. I don't know their name but I wouldn't go there." I knew the name. It was Illuminati Tattoo. So I Google it while I'm standing there and I say "What about Illuminati Tattoo?" and she says "I know nothing about them. What is their rating?" I say five stars and then she says she would definitely recommend them then. I didn't even bother telling her that the place she told me not to go to literally 10 seconds before is the same place she just "definitely" recommended to me. I left, went to the other shop, and when the piercer asked how I heard about them, I told him I tried Piercing Shop first and he looked at me and said "Let me guess - they told you not to come? There's beef between us because they always seem to be out of needles and so their customers come to us instead." Wow. Seems to happen a lot. Won't be going back.
