Great location, great atmosphere and decent food, yet the service was a tad on the slow side and the pricing a bit steep. I can normally forgive slow service when a restaurant is packed but on this day nary a soul in sight. I wish that I could state with certainty that Insomnia will be a favourite haunt for months to come, as I live within spitting distance of its front doors, yet after my first visit this remains to be seen.
On the plus side. The home fries that accompanied my breakfast were incredible. They were real chunks of potato goodness slathered in house made BBQ sauce and perfectly cooked. My roommate recommended them highly and I must say that they more than lived up to any expectations I may have had.
I will concede that it may have been an off day at Insomnia, and although the prices was a bit high, they weren't astronomical and the food was definitely on the right side of the bell curve, so it will definitely warrant a future visit.
