| - I am very disappointed with Meck Derm. I have been a patient for several years and kept thinking things would get better as they got to know me, but they did not. Each time I've been there, I've had to deal with rude staff to schedule an appointment (and had a difficult time scheduling, as they are closed for TWO hours for lunch and will not accept messages before or after hours). I also have consistently had to wait a significant time to get in to see the Doctor. The nurses are friendly, but unfortunately those are the only people I found to be that way. Dr. Snyder has consistently spent approximately 5-10 minutes in the room with me each visit, yet I see my insurance is always billed at extremely high rates, which my current insurance is no longer covering.
Once I got the bill, all customer service skills went out the window. I have never left a bill unattended with this office, and am a frequent visitor; however, this past time, I received a bill for over $300 and did not have the cash on hand to pay. This one procedure cost me well over $700 out of pocket, so I have been trying to do my best.
I was finally able to call and ask about a payment plan-- trying to make it clear that I would be paying, but was promptly told that I would be sent to collections within a month if I did not pay a large chunk since I had not yet paid nor contacted them.
I understand that a business is a business, but I never got the impression I was seen as a patient, but rather a dollar sign. I will take my business elsewhere.
