| - Waffle bear! Yes, I am here for the waffle bear and the creamy custard that goes on top of it's head! I guess they don't have the fish shaped waffle cone (taiyaki) anymore, but I never had it so I can't miss it. Lol. So, the "cone" is not hollowed out so you get like a cake/biscuit treat at the end once you finish your custard. Some people said they didn't like it, but I do! I thought it was a bonus because once the cream melts into it you get a new flavored treat at the end. You get to pick either a chocolate flavored bear or their original flavor, which I'm pretty sure is vanilla. Then you get to pick the custard to go with it. They have black sesame seeds flavor, ube, chocolate, green tea, vanilla and swirl ( not sure what flavor that entails ). Tried to convince girl to put Hawaiian ice on bear, but advised me it wouldn't hold up very well. Took advice and am happy to have tried their custard. Was expecting something basic and niche, but was pleasantly surprised. Got the ube custard with vanilla bear and bear was piping hot! Must of just made it fresh..yes!! Too hot to hold, but luckily by happenstance a fellow Yelper (Rick) was there and gave me a plastic cup to put it in. Thanks! Bear even started to steam up the plastic cup while I took a pic. Service was ok, they should of offered a bowl or cup if it was going to be hot, creative flavors for custards and Italian ices, and prices are ok. Place is clean and kind of hipsterish, but I too own some skinny jeans so I shall be back and I highly recommend to give this place a try.
