Tease Customer Service in need of improvement!
I recently went in on December 3rd for a cut and ended up buying two full size Kevin Murphy Products ($66 retail value on top of a $50 cut). On December 8th they posted an Instagram Ad stating "That's right everyone- we are having our annual buy 2 get 1 free for the month of December." So I figured the receptionist just forgot to mention the promotion and I would be able to get my free product no problem. Was I wrong!
For a local retailer the customer service was subpar. I initially spoke with the manager Michelle the following Day December 9th and explained how I saw the Instagram Ad and How, I was hoping to come and get my additional product as I had bought 2 full size products during December. Michelle went on to tell me that the Ad actually said for a limited time and another promotion was going on during the day I was in the salon (which was never mentioned either). Well I had screen shot the originally Ad and it did not say limited time, someone at Tease edited the post to later read "That's right everyone - we are having our annual buy 2 get 1 free limited time only!" Michelle was very short, never made mentioned that they made an error on their end and gave off as if I had missed this clause in their ad.
Needless to say I felt no effort was made and decided to reach out to the owner. After no word I called back 4 days later to again request to speak with the owner. I heard from Nora the owner later that day and assumed the customer service would be significantly better. Although, she did acknowledge my 3 year loyalty to Tease. I found her very condescending. After explaining the Instagram Ad and my call with her manager. She seemed un-phased by their change in advertisement and blew it off to human error and made no attempt to bandage their mistake. Nora did however go on to say "Can you not get over not getting this additional product." which was extremely unprofessional as a business owner, and I knew I would be cutting ties with the salon after that conversation.
As bittersweet as it is to not see my stylist anymore, Customer Service is a large factor in my decision on businesses especially local that I will support. After this encounter I had to say Goodbye to Tease.
