Season pass holder! Worth it if you plan on visiting 4 times or more per year and want the all inclusive activities pass. Parking is $5 per day or $40 for a year pass which can be bought while going into the park.
Keep in mind this place operates in the rain. One of my best rafting trips has actually been during the rain! The Park as lightening detection system and will go off if their is risk. Summer storms in charlotte seem to pop out of nowhere so if you end up not going because of lightening you can reschedule your raft time at guest services. I see the few negative reviews about weather, but if you really don't want to do anything in the rain, keep your weather app handy and make an educated decision on the threat of severe weather when deciding to buy a day pass.
Love the kayaking and paddle boarding as a solo activity. The sit on too kayaks do have small holes in them so except your bottom to get a little wet. Advise a change of shorts if you plan on it.
Zip lines require closed toe shoes so pack sneakers if you plan on this.
Weekdays are less busy. Look out for festivals as they can get very crowded and best to come early for a close parking spot.
Very dog friendly!
The food options and beer have really stepped up!
Great place to people watch and hang out even if you don't participate in the activities. It's fun I have a beer and watch the rafters!
I have never had a problem with staff being impolite/rude. They are very friendly and helpful.
