Montreal bagels are a different breed of carby goodness. Thin, dense, sweet, and can be tough on the outside and soft on the inside, it's best to buy and eat them hot off the press when they're soft. I popped in at 6:20PM and got a fresh sesame bagel and two everything bagels with some cream cheese from the side fridge. Not 10 minutes later the line was to the door.
The fresh sesame bagel was amazing on its own and that's how you know it's a good bagel. I indulged myself with cream cheese on top and nommed away. The next day I had an everything bagel and it was near impossible to cut but toasting it livened it up. I much prefer NYC bagels because they're thick and still retain a soft interior and exterior texture and also perfect chewiness even after a night in the fridge while these became a tad too hard for me.
Cash only. Great prices. No seating. 24 hours a day bagel galore!
