Review of the Tuesday 6:30pm performance 9/24/2013
I agree with what my fellow Yelpers have to say. These are just a few things I want to share.
TICKETS: purchased from the box office for $59.30 a few hours before the show - which was actually cheaper than tix4tonight ($101). Locals discount is $40 off orchestra seats.
SEATS: I totally agree with what Bernadette M. says about the venue. Any seat is a good seat. We were 4th row from the back and I liked sitting on the incline and being able to look down at the stage, rather than being at eye level. (I posted pics from my seat during the show)
The show was enjoyable and picked up more during the second half. Intermittently throughout the show, the actors were talking or singing but I couldn't hear what they were saying clearly. Something wrong with soundcheck or my ears? Overall, it was a great show with singing and dancing. I was born in the 80s and had no idea who the Jersey Boys were pre-musical and was glad I learned a few things from it. Like their group name was Four Seasons, not Jersey Boys. The show starts ON TIME and the intermission resumes after 8 mins exact.
Check out Jersey Boys and make sure you're at the right theater! (We overheard the ticket person tell the woman in front of us that she was supposed to be at Bally's not Paris, lolz)
