  • Frances (hey, that's my name too!) is a cute upscale boutique in Central Phoenix. Located just off the light rail (a few stops away from downtown), Frances shares a strip of stores with Stinkweeds and Red Hot Robot. While the atmosphere of the store can make any girl giddy (like your own little slice of the Anthropologie-like pie), the prices are a little expensive and the vintage selections are nothing to write home about. What gives this place four stars in my book, is the fact that they are one of the only retail stores near downtown that carry the Free People clothing line. Their jewelry and accessories are quaint, and they have a nice stationary section. However, for the most part, if they didn't carry the latest Free People trends, this store would fall in the 3star ranking because some of their other items are not not very unique at all or look like they were put on consignment by someone who stocks Urban Outfitters. If you've got the bucks, check it out. If not, best keep walking.
