  • Worst experience ever. Maybe it's different if you get both an eye exam and glasses. I just wanted glasses. And I did not want to pay hundreds of dollars. Especially when I wear contacts most of the time. It seems pointless to pay so much if I was not going to wear them often. I decided to go to America's Best to just get the glasses. If I went to my Eye Doctor it was going to be a lot more money. Well they had an attitude from the moment I walked in. I have insurance. They looked me up for my insurance. No problem with that. Now the issues come. I apparently have a complicated prescription. I knew that. But I am not an eye professional. I do not know the ins and outs of what everything means on the prescription pad the Dr gives you. I need to rely on the experts. That's why they get paid. I choose a pair of $69 frames. Sit down with a consultant with my prescription. She does not tell me or consult with me about what I chose and the type of frame. She just starts typing. Tells me because of my prescription I have more to pay. Tells me what my insurance pays and what I have left for my payment. Again not telling me that what I am choosing was not really what the prescription called for. Again. Not the professional. I think about it. And figure that I am probably saving some money and I like the frames. So ok I do it and buy them. Wrong decision. This I will find out when I pick them up. The glasses were done in less than a week. Great time. Go in to try them on. Put them on with another consultant. Here was the issue. Style of frame does not go with my prescription. I chose square glasses small round would be better for my lenses. So they look ridiculous. Plus now I get a reflection off the side of the glasses that is distracting. And I needed bifocals but that was never told to me. So I can't see close up in them. And since I did not go to their doctor. Too bad. Again. I am not the professional. If my prescription says 1 thing. And it's recommended I do something specific. Shouldn't you tell me- the customer that? If I am choosing the wrong glasses and the incorrect thing. You as a professional needs to tell me that. So I paid $100 for glasses I cannot see in or use. Complete waste of time and money. Unprofessional. Never. Ever. Go here. I am sure there is a better place to go. Just not these guys. UPDATE: I was contacted by the Company about my review. They wanted to make it right. I went in and talked to Manager Denise who assisted me. She was very nice and professional. She gave me a full refund. She apologized for the issues. She was very sincere and apologetic. I am completely satisfied.
