I like anyplace with comfy sofas, booze, live music and smoking! This place delivers. After our fancy dinner in Tivoli Village we strolled down (which was nice too - not having to get BACK IN THE CAR) to La Casa as we could hear the live band playing and the lady singing (or should I say sangin') the blues and a little jazz and some old school R&B. The place isn't huge, which is another thing we liked. The crowd is mixed and mature. The singer is entertaining and involves the crowd depending on the vibe that is given. Because we are fun and it was my husbands birthday weekend we were all about getting involved. She let us say a bar or two on the mic. We all danced and others felt comfortable enough to get up and dance (outside the entrance area - especially fun - great weather and beautiful starry night!!) The drinks are nice and strong and inside there is sufficient comfy seating. This is good for a romantic date night or an old married grown and sexy couple such as ourselves and our friends. Because the door is wide open, I wasn't bothered by cigar smoke at all. You barely notice it. You are allowed to sit outside as well - as the band is outside immediately by the front door area. So much fun!!!
