| - I've sailed right on by this hotel many times...I finally made a reservation here. The hotel is about 7 minutes from the strip which is fine by me because I don't feel the need to be in the middle of the action. If I want to be a part of it, I can get in my car and join in..If I don't, then I can retreat at a hotel OFF of the strip to chill and relax.
The service here is "ok". Nothing extraordinary. The bell service was slow. Valet service was spotty but friendly. Front desk clerk seemed like she could use a midol..LOL..
What I did like is that the room/ bathroom was large & clean. I had a nice view of the pool area which seemed to be enjoyed by many. There were lots of food options...from high end to low end..They have Seattle's Best Coffee which was good...and it was about $2.50 for a large..Great price point for a Vegas hotel or anywhere else for that matter. There's a bowling alley, movie theaters, nice bars..loved the Crown Royal Bar..The apple crown with cranberry was the ISH! The gift shop had great prices on liquor and snacks, entertainment....a fun book which offered some good discounts for food, drinks, and entertainment within the hotel...Who could ask for more? The resort fee (I hate those things) is $14 per day which isn't too bad compared to a lot of other resort fees in Vegas. Also, there's a park that is within walking distance that has a nice jogging/walking trail if you feel the need to get some outsoor excercise in while on vacation. However, there is a gym there if you prefer to excercise indoors.
There's a shuttle that will take you to the strip. It's $8 each way...Not too shabby! Also the Premium Outlet is very nearby if you want some retail therapy.
If you want to stay at a hotel that is decently kept with some options, and don't have the need/desire to be in the Strip "mix" 24/7, then this is your spot. I look forward to coming back here..It's definitely what I'd call a "practical" hotel with a few perks.
