| - I've made Whole Foods into one of my goto places for lunch, they manage to make what should be normal food into pretty awesome food for a reasonable price. If you like fish but can never find it for lunch, this should be your first stop. I usually get whichever one is on sale, but I've tried the tilapia, rockfish, salmon, tuna and cod over the last few months. Usually there is something good for less than $12 per lb, which is kind of high if you're taking it home, but half a lb for prepared lunch is actually a decent deal for $4-6. I know they are expensive, but if you find the sweet spot, its pretty awesome. Good rule of thumb, head straight to the back wall, the first prepared food you see when you come in the door is the least reasonably priced.
Every piece of fish has been awesome on the grill with a little oil and seasoning. I usually go with the Cajun seasoning, but sometimes the jerk seasoning is good too. Ask for double seasoning on white fish to give it extra flavor, a little kick in your fish will be good.
They have a massive prepared food section too. I like getting salad and putting the avocado dressing on it too. Pretty awesome small side salad with a kick. Also, check out the samples, they are usually real good. They had cheese balls and crackers today that were too good, had to go back for seconds even.
