I have to admit that the first time I visited Broken City, it was during my hardcore asian, Mexx wearing, spiky haired days. I just turned 18 and didn't think much of this place, my naive outlook prevented me from really enjoying the down to earth open feel of this pub.
Over the years I found myself in Broken City catching local and national performances. Recently it's where the Outlaws of Ravenhurst can be found blasting off wizardry and staking their fame. It's where all indie-level touring artists come to stop. A decade ago you could have caught Leslie Feist at Broken City sweetly crooning "Mushaboom" when now you have to blow $60 bucks just to pack it in the Saddledome where you can barely make out anything!
Out of their food menu, I've only tried the Nachos. It's delicious, packed with all the goodies Nachos should come with in order to be called Nachos, unlike the plate of RIP-OFF most pubs serve these days. Their beer prices aren't bad either, one can easily get carried away at Broken City!
