| - In a city encumbered with nothing but chain restaurants, it's refreshing to find this one of a kind spot. The customer service is excellent, the owner hands-on, and the food simply delicious.
My first time out, I tried the Turkey Sandwich. The turkey was warm and fresh, none of that thin sliced processed stuff. Second time around, I gave in to the pressure of the reviews and tried the Ham and Egg Waffle Sandwich. I was skeptical at first. I thought a waffle would make the dish too sweet and the bechamel sauce too rich, but I was pleasantly surprised to find I was completely wrong. It was well balanced and mm mm good. Everyone at my table wanted another bite. It's a pretty large serving, so I didn't mind. My sister had the red velvet bagel each time we visited, so I'm assuming that had to be tasty too.
I ordered a latte both visits, but to be honest, I've had better. It was a little too foamy and somewhat burnt. But no matter, the food and service has forever made me a loyal customer. Great breakfast/brunch place. Always busy, especially on the weekends. Get there early.
