  • My wife and I ventured to Sweet Lorraine's this weekend to find a suitable 'wedding cake' alternative to eat for our 1st Anniversary since our bakery up in Ohio messed up our Top Tier on our actual wedding cake. We ended up going with something small, the Chocolate flour-less cake with a raspberry compote on top. This cake was awesome ... moist, dense, and RICH. The raspberry on top was a perfect pairing with the rich dark chocolate of the cake. It was a great size for 2 people, even 4 people for could split it and have good sized pieces! All this heavenly flavor was only $5.75. What a steal. The inside was very clean and quaint. There was a table or two inside with some chairs for you to sit down and enjoy your baked goods in-house, if you wanted to. The worker was incredibly friendly and helpful in guiding out choice. Can't wait to stop back to this South End/Dilworth staple again.
