Worst customer service ever !!
I called to make my appointment to see the oral surgeon, but the lady on the phone told me my insurance required to see general dentist first to get a referral (which was wrong..when I spoke to my insurance they told me I didn't need to get a dentist referral to see the surgeon). Keep in mind they hadn't spoken with my insurance yet to make that determination. Either way I went ahead and saw the dentist first because I wanted to get a cleaning done. By the time my appointment came around they had already contacted my insurance to see my coverage. They did the cleaning and two types of X-rays. Next thing I know, I receive a bill from this place. I contacted my insurance and Turns out my insurance only covers one X-ray and not two. When I contacted Tender Dental and let them know what my insurance told me they said my insurance told them that it covered both and I'm responsible for the charge. I called my insurance again and explained what Tender Dental said. My insurance said there's no way they could of told them that. In fact, they didn't even speak to a person..they used the automate system. So I decided to file an appeal through my insurance. And I ended up not having to pay for their mistake thanks to my insurance.
When I went to get a print out from Tender Dental that showed I do not owe them anything and that that charge was dropped, they receptionist told me that they like to keep two types of X-rays and they bill my insurance and if my insurance doesn't cover it they drop the charge. They completely upset me. Because now they had told me two different stories. And if what she said is true, I was never informed beforehand about doing two X-rays. And how dare they try to see if my insurance will pick up their tab.
They are very unprofessional. When I was there one of the receptionist was treating a patient very poorly..yelling at him and rolling her eyes. They also shove a survey at your face before you leave.
I told them I didn't want to make an appointment for my second cleaning and they still did an appointment because I just received a reminder text of such appointment. I called to cancel and when the receptionist answered she was talking to someone before I could even say hello. After I cancelled she hung up on me in the middle of trying to ask her something.
Please avoid this place at all cost. Save yourself a headache.
I have a high tolerance for people since I work in customer service but this place really did it for me.
