The dentist came highly recommended. Unfortunately my interaction with the receptionist Kim, and my observation of how she treated an established patient with a Medical emergency were not a positive one.
I was asked to arrive early to complete paperwork and I was the first patient scheduled in the morning. When I walked into the office Kim simply asked me "do you have an appointment." No greeting whatsoever, not even how can I help you. I explained to her that I was early to complete the paperwork her response was simply, "we do not open until 9 AM". She reiterated this when I told her that I was told to come early.
A gentleman walked in shortly after I did stating that he was having medical complications after a procedure the previous day and had made efforts to contact the office. She told him there were several patients ahead of him but that they would fit him in. He explained again that he felt this was an emergency and asked if he could be seen sooner and she repeated there were several patients ahead of him and not to leave the premises.
I do not think Kim was just having a bad day at the office, she lacks communication skills and support for patients with medical needs. I chose not to stay for my appointment and I hope the gentleman was able to get in sooner and his medical needs have been resolved.
