| - The good: Terminal 4 is nicely decorated, if largely devoid of natural light (at least in the main pre-Security lobby).
The bad:
* Long bus ride to rental cars, all located off-site. Yes, some other airports have this too, and it's a black mark on them, too.
* Local councilmembers exhorting travelers to shop and dine at the airport. These kind of announcements are totally useless ("Wait, I can eat and shop while I wait for my flight? I never thought of that!") and annoying. They are marginally better than the "be scared, watch out!" announcements at PDX, but just barely.
* Terminal 2: The b*stard stepchild at PHX, it's a long walk in the open (covered, but not enclosed) from the other terminals. It's clear that it hasn't been remodeled since the 1980's, and given that apparently all airlines at T2 are slated to move to T3, it's unlikely an update is likely.
I'll revisit this score if I'm every back and the T2 situation has changed, but the car rental situation is a permanent 2 stars off the score.
