I would never eat here again. This place is disgusting! How has this place survived for over a hundred years as they claim? The name of this restaurant is pretty common, so it might be easy to confuse the place with a chain. It's not, just so you know. Essentially it is a bar, with a few tables put towards the wall, and a dozen red-neck looking types hanging out drinking. There is kind of a weird smell that is hard to describe. I used the bathroom to wash my hands, but I felt I had to use hand sanitizer by the time I got back to the table. To top things off there was this grease all over the table.
How'd the food taste? Not so great. I had fish and chips and with it being a house specialty and all, you'd think it would be pretty darn good. But it was average at best and the fries ('chips') sucked. Nearly everything on the menu is fried and I only saw the word 'oyster' in three places - once being at the top of the menu.
This place is CASH ONLY. I guess their business practices haven't changed much since this place opened up.
