| - Upmc advantage health insurance, I have been using "syn visc" knee injections with good results for many years, now Upmc forced me to use "U flexa" as a replacement product for my knees, tried it with poor results, appealed it with my doctors recommendation to go back to "syn visc" and it was approved and used for next 2 rounds of injections 6 months apart, went for another round of injections after another 6 months as allowed, again Upmc rejected the "syn visc" product, now forcing me to use "U flexa" again, doctor resubmitted need for "syn visc" to be used, and again still rejected, specialty pharmacy told me that both products are the identical cost, doesn't matter so says Upmc. Just wondering, isn't a sign of insanity to do the same thing over and over again with the same bad results. P.S. Concierge never got back to me as promised either. UPMC BOOOOOO!!!
