  • This is definitely hands the best Giant Eagle in all of Pittsburgh. I love the one in shady side but this store has it beat for sure! All of the aisles cater to your specific food interest along with different little mini stations for eating in, it can't be beat!! There are about 16 aisles of madness in this store not including the produce and hot bar items. Their produce section has various different variety's of fruits and veggies that other stores don't have. They even offer a larger selection of organic items located closer to the seafood. They have 40ft bars for meat and seafood that are both separated and an actual bar that offers up 10+ different beers on draft and more in bottles. The eat in section has Indian, asian, italian, american, a bakery, pizza, and even delicious sandwiches like roast beef and steak. Located next to the salad bar is a deli bar that offers precooked food that you can either eat in or take out with you. Dishes like veggie lasagna, crab cakes, carrot soufflĂ©, anti pasta, couscous and much MUCH more. I recently started a gluten free diet after hearing about all the positive benefits from it and this giant eagle has one side of an aisle completely dedicated to gluten free products. I was a little off put that they chose to put all the cereal next to the gluten free products. That kind of organization just didn't make sense. I only came in this store for a few fresh items to make a salad but ended up spending over $100 on gluten free products and almond milk that i can not find anywhere but at whole foods. Oh, did i mention in between the fresh produce and hot foods they have a granola and nut section. These items you can weigh out for your own personal needs and they include candy, sprinkles, mushrooms, coffee and even pasta. This store has nearly all your food wants and needs!!!! P.S for all you coffee lovers there's an in house Starbucks that also lets you check uo regular grocery items..only preprocessing foods tho. They are waiting to get the scale in so they can check out any and everything.
